Stay off the coke as it contains a lot of caffeine which can cause all kinds of symptoms. Wholefoods are good as you have already found out. If they cause you problems stop eating all sugary foods and limit such things as fruit and milk, Both contain high levels of sugar.
    Have a happy Christmas.

This sounds like Reactive Hypoglycemia. As you already know, people with this condition need to avoid simple sugars and eat complex carbohydrates (including whole grains and veggies) and protein at every meal instead.

Adding fibre, healthy fats, and protein to your meals helps stabilize your insulin levels. Eat small regular meals frequently.

Sometimes this condition can be a precursor to Type 2 diabetes, but it in itself is NOT diabetes, and not everyone who has this develops Type 2 diabetes. If you are overweight, have a poor diet, or are inactive, this will increase your risk of getting Type 2 diabetes.

Even less often, hypoglycemia can be an early sign of developing Type 1 diabetes, the severe non-preventable kind. This is not that common, but it can happen. It occurs as the insulin producing cells are erratically killed off by the immune system.

If you are not overweight, stick with the diet recommended for hypoglycemia and you should be fine.

If you begin to have severe, frequent, and unexpected low blood sugar episodes, see a doctor to rule out other medical conditions that may cause this problem.

Do you use the bathroom alot when eating sweets? If so, that plus all the other factors point to Diabetes. Go to your doctor and tell him and get checked. The faster Diabetes is diagnosed the quicker something can be done and long term effects can be avoided.

If it’s diabetes, you’d tend to feel thirsty and tired. You should see your doctor before trying anything else.

It might be a general difficulty in regulating your blood sugar levels, but you’d tend to get the same symptoms after eating starchy foods like bread and potatoes.

It could be a sucrose intolerance. This is usually accompanied by bloating and flatulence. See if you get the same symptoms with dextrose (you can get dextrose tablets in the chemists – but don’t try this if the doctor thinks you’re diabetic)

My science techer suffers from this problem, although she is not diabetic she is in the stages running up to it. She can only tolerate fruit sugars. I would consult your local GP for a diabetes test.

You may well be How old are you? You may just be intolorent to alot of sugar and fat. Which if you eat too much can make you feel ill. It may also be a sign of IBS as eating too much of the wrong stuff can trigger this. If in doubt go and see your GP and have a urine test for diabetes. Good luck.
