    Look in your mirror, what do you see. I would bet that there is someone so special, but hiding underneath adversity waiting to break free. You are courageous. For being willing to change. For thinking of your family and wanting to be the best father a man can be. Don’t ever forget that. While you cannot see beyond your sight, envision yourself in a healthy body. One that may need extensive rebuilding, but one who hasn’t given up.

    I believe you can do it. We all can if it’s what we want.

    I suffer from back problems too so it ain’t fun at times. But I never gave up. Everyday, get stronger. Do simple. Your body weight alone is a great resistance builder. Learn to flex muscles by sucking in, contracting, etc. Your physical therapist can teach you.

    Make sure you’re eating. What an oxymoron when you’re overweight, but you put your body into starvation mode when you starve your cells.

    You can do it!

    Any type of exercise is better than nothing. My back is broken in 3 places, so I cannot do any weight-bearing exercises. I walk, roller blade, bike, use an Ab Lounge & the elyptical machine at my local gym.
    I can also tell you that the mineral supplement “chromium picolinate” helps to lower blood glucose pretty well.
    You may want to consider an antidepressant to help you cope right now as you make these changes. I would suggest “Cymbalta”. It does not have weight gain as a side effect. In fact, I’ve lost weight since starting it. It not only helps mood improve but eases pain, as well.

    I’m in the same boat mate! the short answer is your still eating to much I know it’s a bind I like my food too but it’s no sweet stuff and lots of fruit and veg for you. I keep a bowl of grapes handy and find this helps and keep your bowels open.
