Diet for a diabetic is of uttermost importance. 5. Eat little or no sugar and salt, the less you eat of these the better.

6. Drink alcohol in moderation, and never drink on an empty stomach.

7. Try and do some simple exercises on a daily basis.

8. Try to get your weight down to the ideal weight for your height, body frame and sex. If you need to lose some weight, aim for a gradual diabetes weight loss that can be easily maintained rather than a rapid weight loss that can lead to a burn-out.

9. You don’t need to be searching for special and expensive diabetic foods and drinks as these are unnecessary and do not have any special health benefits.

As a diabetic, there are certain sacrifices and lifestyle changes you will have to make in your life in order to remain fit and healthy. By keeping a close eye on your diabetes treatment regime, monitoring and maintaining normal glucose levels, eating healthy diabetes foods by following a simple diabetic menu or diet plan and adopting a generally healthy lifestyle, you should have no problems living to a ripe old age and enjoying those every day activities you have always enjoyed.

I am a diabetic, diagnosed some twelve years ago. With good quality information (like the ones you will find on this site) on healthy eating, alternative medicine, natural healing, raw diet, exercise, etc. and a determination to beat this disease, I have been able to completely reverse my diabetes now.
